What are the qualifications for membership?
- You must be a graduate of an accredited university, college, or high school.
- You must have graduated with a perfect GPA.
- You must not have been convicted of a felony crime.
- You must submit all the documents/items requested as detailed in the Requirements for Membership & Application Process.
What are the Requirements for Membership and the Application Process
You must submit the following items:
- Two Letters of Nomination (using the Official Nomination Form) from someone (an adult, different from someone recommending you) who is familiar with your academic accomplishments or record. Please use the form we have provided!
- Two Letters of Recommendation—preferably from your Principal, Vice Principal, Department Chairperson, Dean, Vice President of Academic Affairs/Provost, or Principal—attesting to your character, academic and other accomplishments, and recommending you for membership and induction into the AHOF. The letter should not exceed 2 pages in length. Please also attach the Recommendation Letter Cover Sheet.
- A completed ACADEMIC HALL OF FAME Verification Form certifying that you graduated with a perfect Grade Point Average. This form must be signed by the appropriate agent of your school and must contain the School’s official stamp/seal. The completed form should be returned to you (the Applicant) in a STAMPED but UNSEALED ENVELOPE. You may download this form, complete Parts I and II yourself, and request your school to complete Part III. Mail the completed form along with the other requested documents directly to the address shown on the Academic Hall of Fame Verification Form. Additionally, a copy of the Form must be uploaded with your membership application on AHOF website.
- A sealed copy of your official final School transcript addressed to AHOF. Mail the sealed transcript, with the other requested documents, directly to the address shown on the Academic Hall of Fame Verification Form. Additionally, a copy of your official final School Transcript must be uploaded with your membership application on AHOF website.
- A notarized Copy of your GAMMA HONORS Membership Certificate. The notary stamp could be placed anywhere on the Certificate or on the back side of the Certificate. Mail it, together with the other requested documents, directly to the address shown in the Academic Hall of Fame Verification Form. Additionally, a copy of your notarized Gamma Honors Membership Certificate must be uploadedwith your membership application on AHOF website.
- A completed, online ACADEMIC HALL OF FAME MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION FORM, including/attaching an electronic
version of:
- Your Biographical Sketch – Microsoft Word Version
- Your Biographical Sketch – PDF Version
- Your Full Biography
- Your Hall of Fame Speech Video
- A PDF file of your notarized GAMMA HONORS Membership Certificate
- A passport-size color photo – headshot only! (180 X 180 pixels)
- Submit a one-time membership fee of $250 (US)
Note: The following items must be mailed together by the Applicant in one large envelope: One Completed Nomination Form, Two Completed Recommendation Forms, including the Cover page, A copy of the Completed, stamped & Signed Verification Form, and a SEALED copy of your Official Final Transcript addressed to the ACADEMIC HALL OF FAME, showing your final GPA.

Who is an Academic Hall of Fame Member (or an ‘Academic Hall of Famer’)?
An Academic Hall of Fame Member or an ‘Academic Hall of Famer’ is a person who graduated with a perfect GPA from an accredited university, college, or high school, who has not been convicted of a felony, and has met all the other requirements for membership as specified by AHOF, and has received an official letter from the Academic Hall of Fame confirming membership.
How do I know if I have qualified to become a Member of the Academic Hall of Fame?
Members will be officially notified by e-mail and/or post confirming their admission. They will also receive a Certificate of Membership. The names of members will be published according to the Category in which they qualify.
Can I be inducted or admitted into more than one membership category in the same year?
Generally, no, except in the rare case of an applicant who graduated in more than one membership category in the same year.
If I am inducted or admitted into membership in the HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA category, can I qualify in another category if I subsequently attended and graduated with an Associate’s degree or with a Bachelor’s degree?
Yes.
If I am inducted or admitted into the Hall of Fame in ASSOCIATE DEGREE category, can I qualify for membership in the BACHELOR’S DEGREE category if I subsequently attended a four–year college or university at which I completed additional years (e.g., 1 or 2) and earned a Bachelor’s degree?
No. To qualify for membership in the four-year College and University category, you must start and complete your studies at a four-year college or university or complete 90% or more of the Bachelor’s degree coursework at a four-year college or university.
What information will be published about me?
The type and scope of information published about you depends on whether you are applying for membership/induction into the Academic Hall of Fame Doctoral, Master’s, Bachelor’s, Associate, or High School category. Information published will generally include some or all the information profiled in your biographical sketch and your Full Biography, including your photo and Hall of Fame Video.
Your name and the category and level/category you qualify for will be listed along with other information pertinent to your accomplishments, including but not limited to the following:
- Doctorate, Master’s, Bachelor’s, and Associate Degree categories: your name, hometown/city, state, and country; your university or college and its city, state, country; degree earned and major or field of specialization or concentration (e. g., A.S. Accounting, BA English, BSC Nursing); graduation year.
- High School Diploma category: your name, hometown/city, state, country; high school name and its city, state, country; diploma earned (e.g., High School Diploma); graduation year.
If I graduated several years ago, prior to the formation of the Academic Hall of Fame, can I become a member?
Yes.
Does the Academic Hall of Fame have a physical structure – an actual Hall/Building similar to other Hall of Fame?
No. Not at this time, however, the long-term goal is to set up one- an actual structure/building that members and visitors from all over the world can visit.
Does the Academic Hall of Fame have a Pledge?
Yes. The following is the pledge:

Will I have to pledge or be formally inducted to become a member?
Not at this time. In the near future, this will be required.
Will there be a formal induction or pledging ceremony?
Not at this time, however, there will be a formal induction exercise/ceremony in the near future. When that process is in place, all members, present and past, will be notified and invited.
What happens after the application package is received?
It is reviewed for completeness. If it is complete, a confirmation letter will be sent to you. Additional mail will follow, including one welcoming you into membership.
What is the approved format for citing membership on one’s resume?
The following are the only approved formats. It is important for members to adhere to these formats.
