New Nonprofit Launches to Honor Students with Perfect GPAs

Baltimore, MD — October 22, 2025 — A new organization dedicated to celebrating top academic achievers has officially launched. The Academic Hall of Fame (AHOF), a nonprofit based in Baltimore, Maryland, was created to recognize and promote students at every level—high school, college, and beyond—who graduate with a perfect grade point average (GPA).

Unlike many honor societies or award programs that focus on extracurricular activities or limited academic criteria, the Academic Hall of Fame’s mission is singular and bold: to shine a national spotlight on the rare accomplishment of academic perfection.

“Students who dedicate themselves to achieving straight A’s often do so quietly, with little public acknowledgment compared to athletes or artists,” said Hannah Nwanna, the spokesperson for the Academic Hall of Fame. “This organization exists to change that narrative. These students deserve recognition not just in their schools, but across communities, and even nationwide.”

The Academic Hall of Fame plans to induct students who have achieved a perfect GPA into its membership. Inductees will receive official certificates of recognition, be profiled in a Hall of Fame directory, and gain access to a growing network of high achievers. The organization also plans to launch events, mentorship programs, and scholarship initiatives to support members in their academic and professional journeys.

Educators and community leaders have praised the initiative, noting that it sends an important message about the value of scholarship. “Excellence in academics should be celebrated with the same enthusiasm as excellence in athletics or the arts,” said AHOF’s spoekesperson. “The Academic Hall of Fame provides a platform to inspire not only those who achieve a perfect GPA, but also every student striving for their personal best.”

The launch comes at a time when discussions about the importance of education and academic standards are front and center nationwide. Supporters of the Academic Hall of Fame say the organization’s focus on rewarding academic excellence helps encourage students to take pride in their scholastic efforts.

Membership is open to students at all levels— high school, and higher education—who graduate with a perfect GPA. The organization is also inviting nominations, partnerships, and community support to help expand its mission.
